Why Nature’s Nest Avian Tea Exists
Nature’s Nest Avian Tea is not a tea in the traditional sense.
It is a carefully formulated blend designed to be added to drinking water as part of a normal care routine. We use the word tea to describe how it is offered, mixed into water, rather than to suggest a herbal infusion or treatment.
Like all Nature’s Nest products, Avian Tea is formulated by veterinarians and developed with long term bird health in mind.
Nutrition Beyond the Feed Bowl
A complete diet forms the foundation of avian health. But long term wellbeing is shaped by more than food alone.
Hydration, digestive balance, and immune function all influence how birds cope with daily demands, environmental changes, and stress over time. Avian Tea exists to support these systems gently and consistently.
It is not a treatment and it does not replace veterinary care. It is supportive nutrition intended for birds already receiving a balanced, veterinarian formulated diet.
What Is in Avian Tea and Why
Every ingredient in Avian Tea is included for a specific purpose and in carefully considered amounts.
Green Tea Extract
Included for its antioxidant properties, which support normal immune function and cellular health over time.
Rooibos Extract
Naturally caffeine free and well tolerated. Rooibos is traditionally used to support digestion and overall wellbeing, making it suitable for regular inclusion.
Probiotics
Support a healthy gut environment. Digestive health plays a central role in nutrient absorption, immune resilience, and overall vitality.
Vitamins
Included to support normal metabolic function and contribute to overall nutritional balance.
Dextrose
Included in small amounts to improve palatability and encourage normal water intake, supporting hydration without overstimulation.
No ingredient is included for trend or marketing appeal. Each earns its place through function and balance.
Digestive Health as a Foundation
In birds, digestive health affects far more than appetite. It influences nutrient absorption, immune response, feather condition, and behaviour.
By supporting hydration and gut balance, Avian Tea helps create conditions where the digestive system can function as intended. This support is subtle, but over time it matters.
Supporting Immune Function Over Time
The immune system benefits from stability, not constant stimulation.
Avian Tea is formulated to support normal immune function through antioxidants, hydration, and digestive balance. The goal is not to force a response, but to support the systems that allow the body to regulate itself effectively.
This kind of support works best when offered consistently and without urgency.
Consistency Over Short Term Fixes
Avian Tea is designed to be offered regularly as part of a routine. It is not intended for occasional or reactive use.
Long term health is built through steady decisions repeated over time. When supportive nutrition is included calmly and consistently, its value accumulates gradually.
Individual drinking patterns will vary. Some birds drink more, others less. Both responses are normal.
How Avian Tea Is Used
Feeding Guide
Add approximately one teaspoon (5 grams) of Nature’s Nest Avian Tea to 250ml of fresh drinking water every second day.
Some bird owners choose to add a small slice of lemon to the water as a form of enrichment. This is optional and intended to encourage exploration rather than to alter the nutritional role of the tea.
As with all aspects of care, observe your bird’s normal drinking habits and adjust thoughtfully.
The Long View of Care
Nature’s Nest develops products with lifespan in mind.
Avian Tea exists because digestive health, immune balance, and hydration influence a bird’s wellbeing over years, not days. It reflects a philosophy of care that values restraint, consistency, and veterinary formulation.
That is why we make it. And that is how we believe supportive avian nutrition should be approached.
